Recently, Sn0wbreeze 2.2 and PwnageTool 4.2 were released including support to jailbreak iPhone 4.2.1 untethered while preserving baseband. Both of these tools create a custom 4.2.1 firmware which can be later restored to iPhone using iTunes. They also support other devices but their main purpose is to preserve baseband of iPhone who rely on ultrasn0w unlock. If you are on baseband then you can safely upgrade to iPhone 4.2.1 firmware. Surprisingly, Apple has rolled out in app purchases feature which was expected to arrive with iOS 4.3. Billing happens though iTunes automatically. However, publishers can offer separate mechanism but Tunes option should be offered as well. Apple has also revised the revenue share for purchases that are brought through apps. A known eastern news source DigiTimes, is reporting that Apple is increasing screen size in upcoming iPhone 5. The sources in component supplier indicate that display size will be increased to 4 Inches so that iPhone 5 can compete with growing class of 4 Inch devices. May be one of three iPhone 5 prototypes have this screen size ?

Reportedly, Apple is testing three prototypes of iPhone 5 with different form factors, claims a Taiwanese website. One of these iPhone 5 prototypes includes a slide-out keyboard as well. It has been earlier reported that iOS 4.3 may drop around 14th February as free subscription to The Daily finishes. In App purchases are required to get subscription of products like The Daily and this feature will be rolled out with iOS 4.3. However, Macerkopf.de observes that free subscription of The Daily has been extended to 28th February. It means that iOS 4.3 would be available by end of February. [....Read More......]
