There are many occasions when you want to split a large file into smaller portions for easy handling. Suppose you want to email a large file which is greater than the maximum size allowed by an email service. How do you send it? Even if it is within the limit, you may face difficulty. Similarly, you want to upload a large media file to file hosting service and you are again in trouble. Another situation may arise when you want to burn your file on a media like CD or DVD and the file size is again above the limits.
