iPhone 5 looks pretty far as we haven’t yet seen iPad 2 but there are only days left as Apple is holding an event on 2nd March to unveil iPad 2. Apple is reportedly also going to preview iOS5 features and set stage for iPhone 5. We have obviously got some unofficial tidbits about iPhone 5 but there is still no solid information. Rumors tell that iPhone 5 will feature Apple’s new A5 chip [Cortex A-9 based Dual Cores] along with duo graphics cores as well. It means that a higher and bigger resolution display will also make into iPhone 5. iPhone 5 is also expected to incorporate NFC capabilities. It is almost confirmed that iPhone 5 will be a GSM and CDMA compatible phone using Qualcomm chip.
Sources also claim that iPhone 5 will have a new form factor and will be completely redesigned. We also learned that multiple iPhone 5 prototypes are being tested and one has a slide out keyboard. We will have to wait a bit longer as more information about iPhone 5 form factor will be out.
Guess what? iPhone 5 is still not out from Apple’s campus but GeoHot is interested. Bang! We know that GeoHot had decided to quit from jailbreak scene. He indicated that there will be no jailbreak tool after Limera1n. It seems that He has changed his mind and may return iPhone 5 Jailbreak. He is currently being sued by Sony and had called for community support which was overwhelming. May be community’s support has pushed him to come back and release more jailbreak tools.
In a recent interview, he was asked about next projects. Here is the question and his response.
Ok! So, I am curious that you did the iPhone the iPad and now you have the PS3 under belts. What’s your next project?
[Some grunting] I don’t like to talk too much about my later products. A lot of my energy is being focused on Sony. You know, both in the courtroom and out of courtroom. But you know..
I am excited for the iPhone 5
This is really surprising but we are now more hopeful that we may get iPad 2 Jailbreak and iPhone 5 Jailbreak eventually on iOS 5.0. Rubyra1n may be his next tool.
