Apple has always tried to create hindrance for hackers and users who jailbreak their iOS device. Such a problem has existed since iOS 4.0. Apple has put some efforts to cripple iBooks on jailbroken device. If you try to open a DRM book on jailbroken device and Apple detects it, a message will appear like “There is a problem with the configuration of your iPhone. Please restore with iTunes and reinstall iBooks.”
It turns that the detection code gets triggered by some jailbreak exploits while other don’t affect it. The problem got highlighted when @comex tweeted about it
However, a fix will be equipped with upcoming jailbreak for 4.3 firmware.
We already informed you that Redsn0w 0.9.8b1 will likely Jailbreak iOS 4.3 using “Monte” or comex’s exploit. iOS 4.3 firmware release has delayed and is expected to arrive by end of February. So, the users who are affected by this issue will have to wait as fix will arrive in early next month with jailbreak 4.3 untethered. It is also possible that Antid0te may also carry this.
