You heard it right! Android 2.3 Gingerbread is around the corner and Nexus One will be the first android device to get it. Nexus holders should be pretty excited but the downside is that Nexus S/Nexus Two is for sure delayed. Google was planning to launch the handset along with Android Gingerbread but they encountered some hardware issue.

It looks like that the issues can’t be dealt right away. So, they are deviating from the original plan and Android 2.3 SDK will be released on 11th November. They will update Nexus One with Android 2.3 Gingerbread Rom within some days. Prepare your Nexus One for the Next Android Treat which is Gingerbread.
