- Run PwnageTool 4.1 and select iPhone.
- PwnageTool 4.1 will try to detect the correct firmware for your iPhone on its own or you can browser to locate it.
- PwnageTool will ask about your contract, if you are on official carrier like AT&T, choose “Yes”. Otherwise, select “No”
- Now, PwnageTool will start cooking custom iOS bundle for your iPhone. Wait until, it display “ihaz success”.
- Next, you need to follow PwnageTool instructions by clicking DFU Button on Top to restore the custom firmware in DFU mode.

Hi I'm trying to find out if this is a legit way to jailbreak your iPhone? I have the iPhone 3gs with 4.1 software installed and I want to make sure this will do the trick? I'm a little scared (well I jailbroke my iPhone 3g last year so I shouldn't really be) but there's so much confusing information out on the internet that I'm a little hesitant to take on the task of jailbreaking my iPhone at this time so I wanted to find out from some folks if this does the trick.
Is this only available for Mac? Cuz I use windows..
