iOS 4.2 Jailbreak for iPhone iPod Touch and iPad will be untethered

After we have jailbroken our iDevices on iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 using Limera1n, it is time to start waiting for iOS 4.2 jailbreak. Jailbreak won’t take so much time once iOS 4.2 is released as a whole new era of Hardware based Jailbreak has started. Limera1n has actually revealed a new bootrom exploit which means current breed of iPhone 4 3GS, iPod Touch 4G 3G ,and iPad are jailbroken forever. The new generation of iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad will not be vulnerable to this exploit when Apple goes down all the way to change bootrom at hardware level. It would take months to do the patch when Apple decides.

This is exciting! iPhone Dev Team is informing users that there is an upcoming iOS 4.2 Jailbreak. The bootrom exploit also enables Hackers to develop Dongles which can be plugged in iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Apple TV and jailbreak the iDevices like Play Station is jailbroken.

It’s far too early to be thinking about iPhone/iPod/iPad/atv dongles due to upcoming @comex exploits.

The necessity for dongles is not needed as the father of userland jailbreaks @comex has many bugs under his sleeves. The question arises about the nature of jailbreak? It will be surely untethered.
