Is this for Mc models or for Non- Mc models? i read all the comments and the whole guide but never could identify which. I have 2g ipod touch Mc that is 4.1 firmware and am hoping this method works, but i wont try it yet. ( The 4.1 firmware is Itunes' fault, they decided my ipod needed it even though i had every little setting set to manual )

hi I'm guessing you downloaded it and it said the firmwarebut had .zip at the end all you have to do is hit rename and type in .ipsw in its place. (Windows) If you dont have the .zip at all go to Computer>Control Panel>Folder Options>then on the top of it hit view> under advanced setting uncheck the box saying "Hide Extentions for known files" Once you do that it will say .zip at the end and change it. I'm sorry if you are a mac person it should be about the same, but I don't know exactly.

I have a 2G iPod touch that I recently upgraded from 3.1.2 to 4.1. My iPod was jailbreaked when I had 3.1.2, and I rejailbroke it with redsnow once I updated it to 4.1. I have never had any issues with my iPod until now, my wifi is very sporadic and I am constantly having to clear all cache and cookies, then reboot to be able to connect to anything. My battery life is also terrible now. It is fine when locked, but when I’m using it, it goes from full battery to dead in less than 45 minutes. I used to be able to use it for probably an hour and a half before. It almost seems like something is interfering and causing all these problems because my boyfriend has the same model, update and jailbreak and does not have these issues, so I guess I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so were you able to resolve it?
