Apple is set to release iPhone 4.1 firmware tomorrow as promised at Apple’s 1st September Event that 4.1 update for iPhone 4 3GS 3G and iPod Touch will be released after 1 week. iPhone 4.1 update fixes several bugs like Bluetooth and proximity sensor. Besides iPhone 4.1 update introduces HDR Photos and HD video uploading but these features are exclusive to iPhone 4.
This iPhone 4.1 update also fixes performance issues on iPhone 3G as well. The FaceTime support through email is also official in iPhone 4.1 update which was included in beta. As iPhone 4.1 is the update after iPhone 4.0.2 firmware, the vulnerability used by JailbreakMe is closed. Besides, we cannot unlock iPhone 4.1 on either iPhone 4 3GS or 3G because the baseband has been updated to block ultrasn0w.
We have previously informed you the @comex had found a bug in iPhone 4.1 beta and it will be hold until Apple releases iPhone 4.1 firmware. This bug possibly could have been brought to jailbreak 4.0.2 but it was unnecessary as Apple would surely have patched it in iPhone 4.1 update.
The bug which could probably jailbreak 4.1 is there. Probably? The term probably is used in this 4.1 Jailbreak scenario because a bug never means an exploit. The bug found still requires a way to exploit that will eventually make possible to jailbreak 4.1. It looks like that an exploit to make benefit of this big so that users can jailbreak 4.1 is yet to be found by comex.

This first bits and last bit of the statement describes which has been discussed in detail before. The middle bits reveal something exciting which is a “ New Hardware Cycle”. What is this? It actually refers to new tethered bootrom and untethered iBoot exploits found by p0sixninja and GeoHot. It means if comex does not succeed [We hope that He Succeeds] then GreenPosi0n will emerge to jailbreak 4.1 on iPhone 4 3GS and iPod Touch 4G 3G.
According to our information, p0sixninja was about to release his Greenpois0n tool to jailbreak 4.0 and 4.0.1 but it was delayed after discussion with iPhone Dev Team in favor of JailbreakMe. This means that comex’s userland jailbreak will be released before Greenpois0n if he succeeds else Chronic Dev Team will release Greenpois0n with an iBoot exploit as Bootrom exploit is still not ready. It should be ready by the time iPhone 4.2 is released.

awesome, from the looks of 4.2 beta 2 (i have a dev account so have seen the official feature list) it barely does anything except for the ipad, so if yoy dont have one yoy dont realy need .2 and should be able to jb without a compulsion to upgrade
i have apple 3gs bought from China from ur authorised store.my problem is that in chinese language version there is a writing pad available but when turned to English language(India) the writing pad could not be found.kindly give a solution as i need a writing pad on my i phone3
