iPhone 4.1 firmware is out. It was all there being revealed that new iBoot and bootrom vulnerabilities are out there and can be revealed any time soon. We earlier discussed the scenario regarding jailbreak 4.1 in detail which resulted in the favor that member of iPhone Dev Team and Father of userland jailbreak, @comex, will attempt to exploit a userland vulnerability which can eventually jailbreak 4.1 firmware.
There was some confusion being spread that He is not working on 4.1 jailbreak. He pointed “Might” in his tweet which you can understand as well. We also discussed that @p0sixninja from Chronic Dev Team has revealed that He was going to release a Jailbreak tool for 4.0 and 4.0.1 but was delayed in favor of comex’s tool.
According to today’s developments, it looks like that tool was GreenPois0n and was going to reveal untethered iBoot exploit. Earlier, we got hold of him and He was still struggling with tethered bootrom based exploit and today He along with @pod2g has struck to make bootrom exploit move forward. Conclusion:
The new hardware cycle for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad Jailbreak is set to begin. The upcoming tool whether it is by @comex or Chronic Dev Team [Greenpois0n] will surely be untethered. iPhone 4.2 firmware is also due within two months. If Greenspois0n is not released to jailbreak 4.1 then Greenpois0n 4.2 is a sure thing which will begin the Pwned4Life era by bringing jailbreak 4.2 and revealing new bootrom exploit.

Hey guys, I know this is a hardware hack and all but…. Wait until 4.2 is released so all the poor iPad saps can get to the 4.x OS before Apple finds a magic bullet and kills it.. I know I know HARDWARE A4 but… You want to have 5 days of glory like the jailbreakme guys? If those dorks had held off the present iPods and later OS 4.2 iPads would be free….

Hey guys, i just open the Iphone4 with ios 4.0.2 2 days ago and did the activation. The itunes popup the message for update to 4.1. After the update the Iphone just shutdown and didn't restart at all. Everytime i connect the Iphone with itunes it always popup for restoring. I have set the device to DFU mode and during restore i can see the status bar moving. But once the status bar reaches it shuts down again and does not restart. No matter how many time i do or what button i press I cannot get my Iphone on. Any suggestion or do i have to wait for new firmware or jailbreak for 4.1 ?
