A new generation of iPod Touch which would be named iPod Touch 4th Generation or iPod Touch 4G shortly is expected to be revealed in September 2010. The rumors have been floating around about features and release date of iPod Touch 4g. It is expected to be equipped with dual cameras along with FaceTime support and Retina Display.
These rumors have now been backed by John Gruber who is widely known to have credible inside information from Apple. In a post while discussing Dell Streak he suggests
if you wait a few weeks to buy the Touch, you’ll get one with a Retina Display and dual cameras.
It means that we have to wait till September before we get hands on iPod Touch 4G.
