JailbreakMe 4.1 iOS?

by EngineerHead on August 7, 2010

It is more than obvious that Apple is going to patch the security hole exploited by JailbreakMe in upcoming iOS update although it is still unclear whether iOS 4.0.2 will emerge or iOS 4.1 Beta will move towards stable status. The question arises whether @comex, the developer of JailbreakMe will roll out a solution to jailbreak 4.1 iOS.

BrainstormingThere is no assurance whether new bootrom and iBoot exploit will be revealed before 4.1 release as GeoHot has announced resigned and p0sixninja who also claims to have an exploit hasn’t uttered a word about released. It leads us to wait for another userland jailbreak which will be obviously released by comex.

Will the 4.1 Jailbreak be an updated version of JailbreakMe something like JailbreakMe 4.1 or we should expect Spirit Jailbreak 4.1 ? This is pretty early to claim but it looks like that comex has found another bug.

Looking at things like CrashWrangler always makes me feel behind. But hey, I might have found a bug today.

(one. not 30.)

There is a strong possibility that comex’s next jailbreak will be released after 4.1 iOS is out even if iOS 4.0.2 is released before.

I didn't even have the possibility to Jailbreak mine, I installed iTunes and it was to late. I am not even sure if it was me or the itunes utility that upgraded the my iPhone 4. I got my phone Aug 26 so I am not sure yt wasn't already 4.0.2. I couldn't find any backup files and I loooked all over my computer. I used windows maybe it was because of that it was tricky…..

All the new models that came out after the 1o of Aug are installed from the factory with ios 4.02 version. The bad news is that you can not roll back to the previous version becuase 4.02 is the only version that was equiped with the iphone 4 newer models. One thing I might want to suggest you to follow this method that was posted on Aug 30, 10. Here is the link:

Good luck with it. Let me know how did it go.
