I had trouble installing. I had to go back to iTunes, do a complete BACKUP, then allow the update and restore. Make sure you download the LATEST iTunes and let it update your ipod to the latest firmware too. Even this process got stuck with error 1602 (disable your PC security package for a while) and error 1604 (close iTunes, relaunch again and continue with the recovery). And it lost the home screen shortcuts and other inconvenient things in the process but at least got the ipod working again as "normal". Then you can try jailbreakme.com again! Good luck! (remember the jailbreak is not exactly a commercial package with a multi-million dollar development team behind it!).
When I Go to the website on my iPod Touch 3rd Gen on ios 4.0 and it loads to the slide to JB screen so I slide and it all of it goes away and the browser is still goin but it stays on that blue space abstract background image thing and I waited and waited and nothing I click the back button and it takes it back to the slide to JB screen??? PLZ help
After you slide to agree to the jailbreak it should come up with a progress bar with message "sit tight". This takes a while but should show you the progress. At the end of that it says its installed Cydia and enjoy. Perhaps you need to enable Javascript in your iPod settings for Safari?

Hey. Same issue happened to me. I had even done a fresh restore and it didn't help. I found on the net that if you clear the cache and cookies and history in safari, then it works fine. Did it and it's working. Hope it helps!

am i the only one that doesn't get everything on cydia? i have no filters on and yet the stuff i had in my previous jailbreak doesn't show up in cydia, but yet i'll do it on my friend's ipod who has hasn't updated to 4.0 and it will come up in the search. (example, the cracked androidlock and cracked infinitydock) this kind of pisses me off and i was wondering if there are certain sources i need to add or what? help please?

Check to see if you added the right source in the manage section then click on the sources section. If you dont the source can be found on youtube by searching infinidock free.

Jailbreak seems to cause clock to rapidly advance eg 1/3 faster speed? – only occurs when iPod is turned off (not in standby mode). So as long as I am aware to reset the clock, this is a minor inconvenience when the reward is having access to the complete file system and other Cydia applications.
