Not as smooth of an experience as I had with 3.1.3 tho… seems a lot of stuff isn't working with 4.0.1. Still has important stuff tho.

That happened to me. Try enabling JavaScript by going to Settings>>Safari>>Javascript where you can toggle the on/off switch.

Tried to do it on my 16GB iPhone 4 4.0.1 and my 32GB iPad 3.2.1 and it wont work. But I will keep trying….
hey all ran the jailbreak ….. hhmm terminal dnt wrk at all ? and cydia keeps coming up with errors language GB and some others ?? and apps installed via instalous dnt show any help peeps cheers

you are having problems because these apps havent been optimized for os4 yet since the jailbreak is new. Just wait, there will likely be updates soon.

For those who are hoping to do this on their iPod Touch 2G — please don't. It will only make your OS slower. The best platform there is is still the 3.1.3.
I have upgraded my iPod Touch 2G to iOS 4 and I was disappointed. I upgraded it to iOS 4.1 and the feeling is still the same.
Is there a way to downgrade from 4.0? So far I've found nothing that actually lets me. I have an iPod Touch 2G MC.
You have to go into DFU mode, aside from that there is no easy way to downgrade.

I had the file received was invalid every time i tried… I have a cisco wireless router and it has a suspicious website filter. Once i disable it… the download worked fine… SO every check your site filtering software!!

I received an invalid file error repeatedly. I tried switching from a Comcast to an AT&T wifi access point – still the same problem. I turned off wifi and it worked like a charm. Thanks AT&T 3G!
I am trying to jailbreak my Iphone 4 ios 4.0.1 but ain t getting nowhere. I do get to the site jailbreak.com and once I slide to jailbreak I get " oops… file received was invalid." and I get the options quit or retry. When I choose the retry button safari didn´t want to work anymore so I had to Reset to factory. Do someone know that the problem might be?
Not sure if you got it to work or not by now… what I did when I got this was turn the phone off and on and everything was alright again. Hope that helps

i need and an advice about an issue, i want to buy an iphone 4G and the seller told me that the baseband is 05.14.02 is this true or false? cause as far as i know that this baseband comes on 3G/3GS modules. if this is true is it possible to unlock it or have to wait the 4.2 firmware release.
