We have already discussed the current status of jailbreak 4.1 and unlock iPhone 4.1 for iPhone 4 3GS [old and new bootrom]. The 4.1 jailbreak scenario is also same for iPod Touch 3G 2G [MC Models]. As per discussion, our hopes are lying with @comex whose userland jailbreak will likely release as Spirit Jailbreak 4.1 for iPhone 4 3GS and iPod Touch 3G 2G.
The early hints regarding upcoming Spirit 4.1 Jailbreak has been complied here before actually iOS4.1 beta arrived. Right now, @comex and other iPhone Dev Members are probably busy in decrypting iOS4.1 and see whether Apple has surprised them with and circumvention to stop Spirit Jailbreak 4.1 from working on iPhone 4 3GS and iPod Touch MC models.
As iOS4.1 is in beta stage, we should not expect Spirit jailbreak 4.1 to arrive because Apple can fix the hole in upcoming public release. If Apple has not done something extraordinary in iOS4.1 then Spirit 4.1 Jailbreak would be available to download after iOS4.1 public release.

there are ways to do it.. 4.0.2 cant really be broken.. but there is a way to drop back to 4.0.1 and jailbreakme works perfect on that.. just need to build a custom firmware and it is easy.. and need to modify a file on your computer.. but still easy.. .. unless you have a 3g or less then can redsnow. but 3gs or better.. got to build a FW for it

I found a YouTube video earlier today it shows a jailbreak of 4.1 yea I mean 4.1 not 4.01. The guy prove it by showing the software in the about menu…he said saurik gave him it to test and he said he had been playing with it for 30 min no problems….Even shows the whole jail break process

u can jail break 4.1 using sn0wbreeze 2.0. how is this for all of you. it makes a custome firmware you just restore it with in itunes. good luck to you all.
