GeoHot has broken his silence on the jailbreak scenario after a long period. During this period, iPhone 4 has been released and iOS 4.0 was out. iPhone Dev Team released ultrasn0w 0.93, redsn0w 0.9.5 and PwnageTool 4.0 while ih8sn0w updated sn0wbreeze 1.7. We have previously reported that GeoHot has new bootrom exploit along with reports that he may surprise us with a jailbreak.
In his recent blog post, he informs the public that he has got iPhone 4 and we hope that it has been treated with magical hands of this Hacker. The more exciting news is that He confirms limera1n Jailbreak. He assures this by saying that it is more than a raindrop which means we will eventually get limera1n.
Got one of these in the mail today and figured I’d give it a shot.
As far as a release goes, it probably won’t happen from me. limera1n is little more than a raindrop on a website; it was never mentioned by me previous to this post. pwned4life is a complete invention of some blogger in a basement somewhere. When I said pwned for life, I was referring to the original iPhone, 3G, and Touch; which of course are, by the aptly named PwnageTool.
Again, please don’t ask for release dates. Every person that does makes me want to release a little bit less.
He also clears that pwned4life was the earlier solution for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch which means it has nothing related with his upcoming jailbreak. He further states that we should not expect a release from him which means that we have to keep an eye on Spirit Jailbreak after iOS 4.0.1 is released.

he said limera1n is “little more than a rain drop on a website”, meaning it is only an image on a website. little more is synonymous for only. however, if he would have said ‘a little more’, then the reasoning behind this post would be valid. our language is confusing.
and he also straight up says “pwned4life is a complete invention of some blogger” meaning, it doesn’t exist, nor has it ever.
