Redsn0w 0.9.5 has been in beta stages. The recent version supports iOS 4 jailbreak on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G to date. It was previously supported for MAC only but a Windows versions has been released today. It does not support iOS 4 hacktivation yet but promises to include it after the public release of iOS 4. There is also no problem in using redsn0w 0.9.5 with latest iTunes 9.2.

If you have upgraded iPhone 3GS to iOS 4 GM, you can jailbreak it with Kaatje’s Pacakge or Patched PwnageTool. After following these jailbreak guides, you can also unlock iOS 4 on baseband 04.26.08 or baseband 05.11.07 if any of the above baseband is preserved on your iPhone. Do I open redsn0w with notepad?
First you need to extract the executable, use winzip or winrar, 7zip, etc. Then just double click the executable (.exe) and follow the instructions on the screen! Voila! Easy, breezy, Japanesey!
